  • Hearing God's Voice
    2026/10/27

Is God speaking to you, but you're struggling to recognize His voice?

One of the biggest questions Christians ask is, "How do I know when God is speaking to me?"

Is it God guiding us, our own thoughts and emotions, or simply what we want to hear? And if God is speaking, why does it sometimes feel so difficult to recognize His voice?

In Season 2, Episode 12 of Made Simple., Kenny Springer welcomes special guest Hayley Perry for a powerful conversation about hearing God's voice, recognizing His direction, and learning to trust Him even when we don't fully understand what He's telling us.

The Bible tells us in John 10:27, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

But what does that actually look like in our everyday lives?

Sometimes we're so busy looking for a dramatic sign or an unmistakable voice from Heaven that we overlook the ways God is already communicating with us. Other times, our own desires, fears, distractions, and expectations can make it difficult to distinguish God's leading from our own thoughts.

God doesn't want us to simply know about Him. He wants us to know Him.

And just like any relationship, recognizing someone's voice comes from spending time with them, learning their character, and developing trust.

The question isn't just whether God is speaking. It's whether we're learning to recognize His voice—and whether we're willing to follow when He calls.

Join Kenny, Caleb, and Hayley as they break down this important topic and explore what it means to develop a deeper, more personal relationship with God.

  • Doing the Hard Thing
    2026/10/13

Are you stuck in a situation you don't want to be in—but unwilling to do what it takes to change it?

Sometimes the very thing standing between us and a better life isn't a lack of opportunity, resources, or ability. Sometimes, it's our unwillingness to do the hard thing.

In Season 2, Episode 11 of Made Simple., we're talking about why people get stuck in situations they're unhappy with and continue living the same patterns, even when they know something needs to change.

Whether it's a job that drains you, financial struggles, family problems, a difficult relationship, your health, or unhealthy lifestyle choices, making a change often requires something uncomfortable: effort, discipline, sacrifice, or the willingness to take a chance on something different.

It's easy to talk about wanting a better life. It's much harder to take the steps necessary to build one.

The truth is, you can't keep doing the same things and expect different results. At some point, you have to decide whether you're willing to do what it takes to move forward.

That doesn't mean every difficult situation is easy to escape or that every obstacle is within our control. But when there's a step we can take, we have to decide whether we're willing to take it.

Sometimes, the hardest thing to do is the very thing that opens the door to a better future.

What is the hard thing you've been avoiding? And what could change if you finally took that first step?

Join us for an honest conversation about personal responsibility, faith, growth, and the courage to make the changes that matter.

  • How to Forgive When it Still Hurts
    2026/10/06

How do you forgive someone when the hurt is still there?

In Season 2, Episode 10 of Made Simple, we tackle one of the hardest parts of living out our faith: forgiveness when the pain hasn't completely gone away.

Sometimes we know we're supposed to forgive, but that doesn't mean the hurt disappears overnight. When someone has betrayed us, wounded us, disappointed us, or caused us deep pain, forgiveness can feel almost impossible. So what does biblical forgiveness actually look like when it still hurts?

In this episode, we talk about the difference between forgiving someone and pretending the hurt never happened, and why forgiveness doesn't necessarily mean forgetting, excusing what happened, or immediately restoring the same level of trust.

You don't have to pretend it didn't hurt in order to forgive.

Forgiveness isn't about saying what happened was okay. It's about choosing not to let what happened continue to control your heart.

Join us as we make the difficult simple and take a closer look at what it means to forgive—even when it still hurts.

  • The Auto-Immune Disease Within the Church
    2026/09/29

What happens when the Church starts attacking itself?

In this episode of Made Simple, we take a hard look at something that can quietly become destructive within the Body of Christ: Christians attacking other Christians. Much like an auto-immune disease, where the body mistakenly identifies its own healthy cells as something that needs to be attacked, the Church can sometimes turn against its own members. A Christian makes a mistake, says the wrong thing, falls short, or simply does something we disagree with—and suddenly they're judged, condemned, criticized, or pushed away.

But do we really know their heart?

    Do we know their intentions?

Do we know what they're struggling with?

And are we responding with the same grace, mercy, and patience that God has shown us?

This conversation explores the danger of creating a culture where Christians are constantly looking for each other's mistakes instead of helping one another grow. Correction without love can become condemnation, and judgment without understanding can destroy the very people we're called to help. The Church isn't supposed to destroy its wounded. We're supposed to help restore them. The question isn't whether Christians will make mistakes—we will. The question is how the rest of the Body responds when they do.

  • Spiritual Warfare
    2026/09/22

What does it really mean to be in a spiritual battle?

In this episode of Made Simple, Pastor Kenny and Caleb dive into the reality of spiritual warfare and what the Bible teaches us about recognizing, preparing for, and standing against the attacks of the enemy.

Spiritual battles are not fought with physical weapons. Scripture teaches us that our fight requires spiritual strength, biblical truth, faith, prayer, and the full armor of God.

    Together, we discuss how to:

    • Recognize the reality of spiritual warfare
    • Understand where the battle is actually taking place
    • Prepare yourself before the attack comes
    • Stand firm when you're under spiritual pressure
    • Use the armor of God described in Ephesians 6:10–18
    • Take our thoughts captive according to 2 Corinthians 10:1–6
    • Stop fighting spiritual battles with worldly solutions
    • Develop a stronger, more prepared walk with God

The enemy doesn't always attack in obvious ways. That's why we need to know God's Word, understand our authority in Christ, and be prepared to stand when the battle comes.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might." — Ephesians 6:10

    2026/09/01

    GOSSIP.

We've all heard it. We've all been around it. And if we're honest, we've probably participated in it at some point. But what does the Bible actually say about gossip?

In Season 2, Episode 7 of Made Simple, we sit down with special guest Katie Wilkinson for an honest and practical conversation about gossip, rumors, talking about others, and the damage our words can cause. We'll look at what Scripture teaches about the power of our words, when sharing information crosses the line into gossip, how gossip affects relationships and the church, and—most importantly—how believers can learn to control what comes out of their mouths.

Sometimes gossip sounds innocent. Sometimes it sounds like a "prayer request." Sometimes we tell ourselves we're just sharing the truth. But where does the Bible draw the line?

    Let's talk about it.

If this conversation challenges you, share it with someone who needs to hear it!
