  • Why MSPs Keep Losing Deals They Should Be Winning (podcast only)
    2026/07/24

Most MSPs lose deals not because their service is bad, but because they talk too much and listen too little. In this episode, Harrison breaks down why customers feel unheard during the sales process and what to do about it. He shares a real example from a recent Secure Wealth IT sales call where the prospect sold himself on the deal simply because Harrison asked the right questions and actually listened. No fancy sales tricks. No fear tactics. Just understanding what your customer actually cares about and selling them on that, not the stuff they never asked for. If you have been losing deals you know you should be closing, this one is for you.

  • How MSPs Turn Hidden Network Data Into Real Dollars $$$$
    2026/07/10

Most MSPs are sitting on money they cannot see. In this second sit down with Thomas from Landeeper, we break down a survey of 88 MSPs and how they turn raw network data into real revenue: about $3,000 saved per new client, close to $80,000 a year in help desk savings, and 35 hours back on scoping and onboarding. Nearly 89 percent found more assets than expected, including decommissioned servers still quietly running. We cover how that data closes deals, how Landeeper pushes to your PSA for cleaner billing, and two features to watch: an AI dashboard that flags shadow AI, and the new Traffic Sensor. Subscribe for more on scaling your MSP. Links to Landeeper and the first interview are below.

  • How to Know What Your MSP Is Actually Worth Right Now (EBITDA)
    2026/07/10

Most MSP owners have no idea what their business is actually worth. In this video I break down the one number that drives your whole valuation: EBITDA. That stands for earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. I walk you through the math step by step, show you a real example, and explain adjusted EBITDA so you can add back owner pay, one time costs, and personal expenses to raise your number. Whether you plan to sell soon or you are years away, knowing your worth protects you from a lowball offer and shows you which levers to pull to grow. Multiples are coming in the next video, so make sure you subscribe. Want more free help growing your MSP? Head to growth-generators.com for battle cards, cheat sheets, objection handling guides, business plans, and more. And through the end of July, my book is on sale for $17.76 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States, on Amazon and the website. If you have read it, a five star review means the world. I am trying to hit 50 by the end of the year.

  • $2,500 Booth and 5 Hot Leads Was the Dental Convention Worth It
    2026/07/10

Most MSPs waste thousands at trade shows and walk away with nothing. In this video, I take you behind the scenes of a real dental industry convention in Bar Harbor, Maine, so you can see what a well-run show actually looks like, and what to do when it does not go perfectly.

I am joined by Mike, one of my MSP Heroes clients who went all in on the dental vertical. His story is what happens when an MSP stops trying to serve everyone and starts dominating one niche. This convention is a live case study in that exact strategy.

We cover table placement, what questions to ask event hosts before you commit, how to use the night-before networking to warm up conversations for the main day, and why good donuts beat cold outreach every time. We also get into booth setup, after-hours networking, and how to follow up so the money you spent does not die in a spreadsheet.

This show had lower attendance than last year, but we still walked away with five solid leads and a full lead list. If two of those close, the event pays for itself and earns us a seat next year. That is how you think about convention ROI.

If you are still grinding at general networking groups and wondering why growth feels slow, this one is for you. Drop a comment if you want more content like this. I have another trip coming up.

  • The Only 5 Linked In Posts MSPs Need to Get Clients
    2026/07/10

Most MSPs post on LinkedIn and hear nothing back. The problem is not effort. It is the format. In this video, Harrison Baron from Growth Generators breaks down five proven LinkedIn post formats that actually get MSPs leads: the News Translator, the Mythbuster, Behind the Curtain, the Question Flip, and the Hot Take.

Each format follows the same structure: hook them, break it down in your prospect's language (not MSP jargon), and end with a question that drives engagement. Harrison also covers the LinkedIn algorithm scoring system, why your profile has to be complete before any of this works, and why writing at a sixth-grade reading level using your prospect's own words is the key to getting seen. Pick one format, post it today, and see what happens.

  • My Honest MSP Geek Con 2026 Review (Not Sponsored)
    2026/06/19

I went to MSP GeekCon 2026 and want to share the full experience with you. In this video I walk you through the event, the vendor hall, the sessions, and whether you should go in 2027 and beyond.

I run Growth Generators, so I usually live in the sales and marketing world. But now that I own an MSP too, this event was the perfect blend of deep tech sessions, good refreshers, and an amazing community.

I got to hang out with the teams at Huntress, Auvik, and TimeZest. I sat in on sessions from Kyle Christiansen, John Harden, and Ashley Piles. I had a great talk with Tom Lawrence (congrats on 400k subscribers, Tom). The breakouts, community tables, and Microsoft 365 labs let you pick your own path, which I loved.

A quick note: this video is not sponsored. Auvik was kind enough to cover my ticket and dinner on Monday, so a big thank you to them. Their network mapping platform is a network engineer's dream if you want real visibility across your network.

I had to fly home early on Tuesday for a family medical situation. Thankfully everything turned out okay. Huge thanks to every MSP Hero who came up and said hello. It means the world to me.

If you are on the fence about going, my answer is simple. Go. I am already looking forward to 2027.

  • How to Explain Cybersecurity So Clients Actually Buy
    2026/06/19

Your client just said, "We're too small to get hacked." Here's exactly what to say back. In this video, I break down how to explain cybersecurity to your clients in plain English so they actually understand it, want it, and buy it. Most MSPs talk in acronyms like EDR, MFA, and XDR, and all the client hears is "expensive." But clients only care about three things: staying open, not getting robbed, and not looking bad in front of their own customers. I'll show you the house analogy that makes security click instantly, how to quantify downtime so prospects see the real cost, the one question that gets clients to sell themselves, and why you need to stop selling tools and start selling results. Whether you're talking to the owner, the office manager, or the techy guy who pushes back, this is how you position cybersecurity without fear tactics or nerd talk.

Big thanks to Augment for sponsoring this video. Augment is a Microsoft 365 security and management platform built for MSPs. It flags risky settings, auto-generates tickets, and handles onboarding and offboarding in one click. Check them out at augmuntt.com.

  • The 2 Part AI Formula Every MSP Needs Right Now (Massive Growth)
    2026/06/19

Most MSPs are using AI every day and still getting nowhere. The blog posts look the same. The cold emails get ignored. The marketing plans are too broad to act on. The problem is not the tool. It is the prompt.

In this video, Harrison Baron from Growth Generators breaks down the exact reason AI keeps letting MSPs down and gives you a simple two-part formula to fix it today. You will learn how to give AI the context it actually needs, how to ask for specific answers instead of generic plans, and why shorter prompts are killing your results. Harrison also walks through live examples using ChatGPT to show how a small shift in how you prompt changes everything, from cold emails targeting dental practices to 30-day marketing plans for construction companies.

If you have been sitting on the sidelines wondering why everyone else seems to be getting results from AI while you are not, this video will show you exactly what is missing. And if you want to go even deeper, grab the link below to watch the full AI webinar packed with prompts you can steal and use right away.
