The Minnesota Twins finished their three series road trip losing 2 of 3 to the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. The offense saved up every ounce of effectiveness for extra innings in game three, scoring no runs in games 1 and 2. The boys struggle coming up with their Beast Picks while both David and Dan are surprisingly positive in their view of Rocco's management in the series. Dan wants to see a shakeup in the rotation by allowing David Festa to make a start which David is convinced may help improve his confidence level in the current state of the starting pitchers. The Minnesota Twins win their second straight series taking 2 of 3 from the World Series defending champion Texas Rangers at Target Field. Andrew "Hoges" Hoganson fills in for Dan and David asks him some questions about a few suspicious texts the show has received that asked about Hoges. The guys discuss the heroics of Alex Kirilloff in this series and are curious if we need to be worried about Pablo Lopez. Royce Lewis began his rehab assignment in St. Paul and both David and Hoges are sad that it's likely to be Jose Miranda who is sent to AAA when Lewis is ready to return. David is less impressed with Max Kepler's leaping grab in game 2 and his frustrations with Tommy Watkins finally boil over. Hoges wants to know how much of this team's inconsistency can be blamed on Rocco, while David just wants Alcala to keep his spot in the bullpen. After their losing streak stretches to seven games, the Minnesota Twins pull out a series victory on the road over the Washington Nationals by taking the second and third games in D.C. It wasn't exactly the series the Minnesota Twins hoped for, but perhaps it was the sort of series the team's fans have come to expect, as the New York Yankees swept three games from the Twins at Target Field. And after a Ryan Jeffers Game 1 home run, the Twins scored zero runs -- not the sort of offensive output the team had been putting together lately. David and Dan run through the many miscues in the outfield, namely those by Willi Castro, who both of them believe to be miscast in the role of backup centerfielder. David shares his observations from sitting in a sea of Yankees fans in Game 2, and Dan wonders whether this Twins team could actually win a couple games in New York in a few weeks, assuming a few key players get healthy.
