MMIW Epidemic: Broken Trust & Corruption is an investigative podcast examining the crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, children, and men—and the systems that too often fail Indigenous families seeking answers and justice.
Through family voices, firsthand accounts, investigative reporting, law-enforcement experience, historical context, and documentation from Tribal communities across the United States, this podcast will examine difficult questions surrounding missing-person cases, unresolved deaths, jurisdictional failures, institutional accountability, broken promises, and allegations of corruption when supported by evidence.
The podcast is connected to the grassroots #MMIWBikeRunUSA2020 and #MMIWBikeRunUSA2021 movements, which carried the names and stories of missing and murdered Indigenous people across America through running, bicycling, prayer, song, ceremony, and community.
