In the Utah backcountry, a solitary cowboy encounters Smoky, a magnificent wild horse, then takes work at the Rocking R Ranch. As he patiently tries to earn the spirited animal’s trust, his guarded past and the growing bond between man and horse draw the attention of the ranch owner and her hands. The story is based on Will James’s novel Smoky, the Cowhorse.
Lux Radio Theater presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
