When Carey returns to New York, he is assigned to work with Linda—his former love—on a women’s-magazine feature about a family wedding in small-town Indiana. Professional rivalry, competing ideas about the story, and lingering feelings accompany them into the wedding preparations. Adapted from the 1948 Warner Bros. film, this broadcast opened Lux Radio Theatre’s fifteenth season.
Old Time Radio Stories presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
