**In the Early 1990’s MTV took a film crew on a cross country trip aboard the Green Tortoise Adventure Travel Bus, intending on making the world’s first reality TV show. When MTV’s producers realized that they could not film inside the bus because it was too confined, loud and windy, they decided to make “Road Rules” instead.
