This episode covers and provides an update on Louisiana State Senator - Dr. Joseph Bouie's SB 404, which would give the Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB) additional power they "may" use if they see fit.
This OPSB presently has little to no oversite on the charter schools in Orleans Parish. Because of Act 91 Charter Schools have complete autonomy when it comes to hiring and firing, budget, and all financial issues. OPSB currently is opposed to this SB 404.
