Chopper Crash in Chatsworth | Long Beach News

A tragic crash in Irvine claimed the lives of two young automotive enthusiasts: James Wehr, 27, co-founder of the world’s largest weekly car show, and Alexis Kramer, 22, a rising model and racing enthusiast. Wehr was driving a high-speed McLaren that veered off course, split apart, and burst into flames. The incident follows a prior traffic stop for a modified exhaust. Authorities are still investigating the cause and speed, urging anyone with information to come forward.

A tragic death has rocked the Cal State Fullerton community: an 18-year-old student passed away over the weekend after being taken to the hospital, with alcohol suspected as a factor. The incident occurred at an off-campus fraternity event not officially recognized by the university, and while police currently rule out hazing, they’re still investigating. This heartbreaking loss echoes past tragedies on campus, including a 2025 drowning during a fraternity trip and a 2019 lawsuit following alcohol-related hazing deaths. The Orange County coroner is determining the official cause, and CSUF is offering counseling to students in need. It’s a sobering reminder of the risks young people face at parties — and a call for vigilance and care.
