The long-anticipated debut of Jonathan Kuminga as an active participant was on full display on Tuesday evening at State Farm Arena, making the most of his minutes and opportunity after ATL jumped out to a 7-0 run after capitalizing off of 5 consecutive turnovers to open the contest.

Despite Jalen Johnson's early exit after only seeing 6 minutes of action and an underwhelming performance from Onyeka Okongwu and Jock Landale, Atlanta yet still managed to outrebound Washington by 20 (19-2 offensive) and outscore the Wiz 58-44 in the paint. Miami's frontcourt proved to be too much for Atlanta on Friday evening at State Farm Arena on back end of a back-to-back in Tyler Herro's return despite MIA's 70+ paint points.

The Heat got out to an 11-3 run before the first break of the 1st Quarter and controlled the remainder of it for the rest of the way before the Hawks stormed back in Quarter 2 with the ability to convert on shots it usually connects on. It wasn't until the 3rd Quarter that ATL reverted back to doing its best impression of the 1st Quarter by misconnecting on free-throws, lackluster energy on defense and being outhustled by the opposition as 2 of the top teams in the NBA in the open floor. Albeit in triple-double fashion, Jalen Johnson struggled shooting consistently but who's responsible for stepping up when JJ underperforms? Why does ATL struggle so much at State Farm Arena?
