Kentucky Wildcats basketball enters the season underrated—are analysts overlooking a potential top-10 team? Lance DAWE exposes why Kentucky’s #18 preseason ranking by CBS, ESPN, and others underestimates a loaded roster featuring Zoom Diallo, Alex Wilkins, Milan Momcilovic, Ousmane N'Diaye, and Malachi Moreno. With proven scoring, All-SEC freshman honors, and international experience, the Wildcats’ starting five and deep bench stack up against any contender in college basketball.

Key talking points include the impact of Mark Mitchell’s departure, the so-called “Mark Mitchell tax” on national perception, and questions of chemistry, rebounding, and true leadership on the floor. Lance Dawn breaks down each position, highlights the versatility and upside across the depth chart, and challenges whether 17 teams are truly better than Kentucky. Can Mark Pope’s Wildcats defy the skeptics and jump into contention for a deep NCAA Tournament run?
