    The Bundesliga is one of the best leagues to bet on when it comes to individual matches but probably the worst in terms of an outright for the season - when we consider how few markets there are available, compared to some of the other top European leagues. You've only got a handful to go at and two of those have a clear favourite unlikely to be beaten. Bayern Munich are as short as 1/10 in places to lift yet another Bundesliga title, with star striker Harry Kane in at 2/5 with the those bookies who are offering a top goalscorer market.

    Billi does what he can with what he has on offer, breaking down all of the available futures markets, before moving into to covering selected games from Matchday 1. Bayern Munich kick off the season tonight at home to Stuttgart. Bayern won the Bundesliga by 16 points last season, scoring a whopping 122 goals in their 34 matches, and Vincent Kompany’s side are unlikely to take their foot off the gas as they chase glory at home and abroad.They have already beaten Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in the German Super Cup, but opening league opponents Stuttgart will be encouraged by the fact the champions kept just four clean sheets in their final 19 Bundesliga games last term.

    Billi previews the 2026/27 La Liga Season, looking at the Outright Winner, Top Goal Scorer and Winner Without Barcelona and Real Madrid markets. Florentino Pérez pressed the Special One button again after two straight trophyless seasons at Real, however, its Lamine Yamal and co who remain the title favourites.

    Plenty has changed since José Mourinho was last appointed Real Madrid manager, but a lot has also not changed. Before his first game in charge in 2010, Spain had just become world champions, their extra-time winner in the final scored by a Barcelona player after their opponents, who had been reduced to 10 men, had tried to kick them off the park. Like then, Mourinho’s task is to take down a Barcelona team that have won two La Liga titles in succession. And like then, he has a host of world-class talent at his disposal.


    Note, unlike Europe’s other major leagues, La Liga is staggering the start of its new season. Owing to their players’ involvement in the later stages of the extended World Cup, none of Madrid, Barcelona and Atlético are in action on the opening weekend.
