  • E391 – Kristen Nolan – Be Our Guest (If You’re Ready)
    2025/11/24
Kristen Nolan has built her career on a simple truth: authentic connection drives results. With over a decade in corporate sales and account management across tech and retail, she now leverages that relationship expertise as a Senior Client Account Manager at Interview Valet, where she transforms podcast interviews into strategic revenue engines. Kristen doesn’t just book guest spots—she architects comprehensive interview marketing campaigns. She identifies target audiences, aligns messaging with host demographics, and builds conversion funnels that turn listeners into leads and customers. Her MBA from American Military University, earned while supporting her military spouse Josh through multiple relocations, taught her to execute under pressure and adapt strategies quickly. When she’s not crafting podcast marketing strategies, you’ll find Kristen cheering her son at football games, supporting her oldest daughter at lacrosse matches and cheer competitions, or wrangling her youngest daughter around Tampa with their rescue dog, Fifi. Connection powers everything she does—professionally and personally. Generation Philanthropy is a non-profit 501c3 dedicated to raising awareness and funds for charitable programs both locally and internationally in need of support Episode Overview Liz welcomes Dina Rezvanipour, the founder of 3D PR Marketing, for a candid conversation about PR, branding, authenticity, and running a modern agency that aligns with your personal passions. The pair dive into what makes 3D PR different, the importance of authentic visibility, and how to know when you’re really ready for publicity. Download Episode Transcript Topics Covered About 3D PR Marketing: Dina introduces her full-service PR agency, specializing in beauty, wellness, hospitality, and lifestyle brands. She describes their blend of traditional PR (print, online, TV, events, influencers) and why events—especially their 3D Wellness Retreat—are at the heart of their strategy. The Power of Retreats: Dina shares the inspiration behind the 3D Wellness Retreat, which focuses on finding purpose and letting go of limiting beliefs. She curates each event with experts who’ve helped her personally, making these retreats both impactful and deeply personal.Origin of “3D”: The name comes from Dina’s desire to look at brands (and people) from all angles—never just one dimension. Fun fact: it’s also a nod to her family, where she, her mom, and her brother all have names starting with “D”.Authenticity in PR and Marketing: Dina and Liz discuss “vanity PR” versus meaningful visibility. They emphasize how authenticity is non-negotiable for long-term success; being visible is only valuable if your message is true to you. When are you “ready” for PR? Dina believes two things are essential: you must be mentally (and energetically) ready to grow, and you need a solid, functional website as your foundation. Without these, PR efforts are wasted.Navigating Client Relationships: Why Dina opts for quality over quantity when choosing clients, and how she believes deeply in having a real, personal connection with those she works with. She prefers a small, mighty team and deeply values client retention and involvement.Industry Insights: Dina shares the realities of PR—rejection, ghosting, and constant “asking”—and the thick skin required to succeed. She debunks misconceptions about PR being all about ego, explaining that even “bad press” can have its value if handled authentically.Working Globally: 3D PR works with clients worldwide, many of whom Dina has never met in person—a testament to the power of referral and the importance of building long-term, trust-based relationships. Memorable Quotes “You have to love what you do in PR, because it’s so stressful—you need real passion for your clients.” — Dina“Visibility without authenticity or a message is just vanity marketing.” — Liz“Even bad press is still press…you want people talking about you.” — Dina“Quality over quantity, always.” — Dina Connect with Dina Rezvanipour & 3D PR Marketing Website: 3dprmarketing.comDina on Instagram: @dinarezvanipour3D PR Marketing on Instagram: @3dprmarketing For Listeners If you’re thinking about PR, Dina recommends making sure you’re genuinely ready to grow and that your online presence is rock solid. 2025/10/20
Ellie Steinbrink is a personal branding expert and stylist for female entrepreneurs. Drawing on psychology and branding, Ellie helps women define and embody a magnetic personal style that encourages them to take bold action – or, as she likes to say – color outside of the lines. The daughter of a farmer and an artist, Ellie blends a two-decade long career in marketing for Fortune 500 giants and small businesses with her passion for curating wardrobes that break style rules and reject trends. When she isn’t shopping, you can find her lifting at a CrossFit class, playing trumpet, trying out a new recipe, or spending time with her husband and two kids in Omaha, NE. Learn more about Ellie and her styling services, or read her insights on style, at EllieSteinbrink.com. Download Episode Transcript Episode Summary Liz welcomes Ellie Steinbrink, a personal stylist who helps women leaders move from blending in to truly standing out by aligning style with brand and personal presence. Ellie emphasizes the importance of authenticity—on the inside and out—and shares why she pivoted from a 20+ year marketing career to follow her passion for styling and empowering women. The conversation dives deep into how personal style transforms as women evolve in leadership roles, how to dress authentically (even when there’s pressure to conform), and why self-leadership and self-trust are central to both style and business. Key Topics Covered Ellie’s Career Journey: From 20+ years in marketing to starting her business in personal styling during the pandemic. The Truth About “Authenticity”: How brands talk about it, but what it’s really like to embody authenticity in your look and presence.Dressing for Yourself, Not the Room: How Ellie learned (the hard way!) not to dress only to impress others, but to align her wardrobe with her true personality and energy—even when everyone else chose to wear pink to an event, and she didn’t.Style Transitions & Closet Clarity: Why transitions in life and career often mean your closet needs refreshing—and how shopping impulsively isn’t always the answer.Letting Go of Style “Shoulds” and Rules: The power of questioning long-held rules about what you “should” wear, whether it’s color analysis, classic blazers, or body type limitations.Color Analysis – Use It, Don’t Let It Rule You: What to do when your favorite color (like black or purple!) isn’t on your palette—and why it’s OK to break those rules.Body Type and Influencers: Why strict adherence to “body type dressing” or comparing yourself to influencers can be unhelpful, and how to use that information as just one tool, not the law.The Energetic Shift of Clothes: How wearing clothes that truly feel like “you” can impact your mood, productivity, and confidence—at home, on Zoom, or out networking.Simple Tip for Listeners: Check in with how you feel in your clothes, not just how you think you “should” look. Resources Mentioned Style Mindset Reset (Free Guide): Ellie’s worksheet to help you uncover (and release) the unconscious “rules” you’re carrying about style, and start dressing for the woman you’re becoming.
