  • #158- Become The Person God Created You To Be
    2026/08/24

Who am I? It is one of the most profound questions we ask ourselves. But this week's message challenges us to reframe that question entirely: Who has God created me to be?

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God's workmanship -- crafted with purpose, created in Christ Jesus for good works prepared long before we ever drew breath. Our identity, worth, and purpose are not found in what the world tells us to be, but in the One who made us.

Becoming who God created us to be starts with knowing our Maker, being formed into the likeness of Christ, and living that out in the context of Christian community. Faith was never meant to be a solo journey.

  • #157- Believe. A Faith That Grows With Friends
    2026/08/17

What if the breakthrough you have been praying for is already sitting right next to you?

This week in our Belong, Believe, Become series, we looked at the story of Apollos in Acts 18:24-28 -- a gifted, knowledgeable man who was still willing to be taught. Priscilla and Aquila took him aside, sharpened him, and released him into even greater impact. His humility changed everything.

Faith is not a destination -- it is a work in progress. And it grows best not in isolation, but in community. As Proverbs 27:17 reminds us, one person sharpens another. We need each other to become who God is calling us to be. Ours is a faith that grows with friends.

  • #156- Belonging: A Place Called Home
    2026/08/09

Have you ever felt like you just don't belong? Like a stranger in your own world? You are not alone — and today's message at Trinity Church Sugar Land speaks directly to that deep, God-given longing inside each of us.

From Ephesians 2:13-20, we are reminded that in Christ, those who were once far off have been brought near. The dividing walls of hostility, isolation, and sin no longer have the final word. Jesus changes everything.

We were created in the image of a triune God — a God of community, connection, and belonging. Sin broke that, but Christ restores us. As Psalm 68:6 tells us, God places the lonely in families. That includes you.

Join us as we begin our new series on Belonging, Believing, and Becoming. Whether you are searching, returning, or simply need a reminder of where you truly fit — there is a place for you here.

We will also see what happens with when a faith community becomes highly visible, radically generous, and completely surrendered to the Holy Spirit with God's grace. • #154- Everything Starts Somewhere
    2026/07/27

Every great movement, every mighty tree, every transformed life starts somewhere small. In Matthew 13:31-33, Jesus reminds us that the kingdom of heaven works like a mustard seed and leaven -- seemingly insignificant, yet carrying unstoppable potential.

When things do not go as expected, it is easy to despise small beginnings. But Zechariah 4:10 tells us that God rejoices to see the work begin. Not by might, not by power, but by His Spirit -- that seed is going to grow.

Sometimes the work of God in our lives, our families, and our church can feel small, slow, or even insignificant—but Jesus reminds us that the Kingdom often begins in hidden and humble ways before growing into something far greater than we could imagine. What could He do through you and your family?

  • #152- Joy That Gives Thanks As We Pursue Christ
    2026/07/06

What if everything you've been chasing—success, recognition, accomplishment—is actually keeping you from the one thing that truly satisfies?

The Apostle Paul had it all: the right heritage, the perfect credentials, blameless religious performance. Yet he counted it all as loss for one reason: knowing Christ Jesus. Not just knowing about Him, but truly knowing Him. Paul discovered that the world's blueprint for success is a counterfeit, while Christ's pattern of humility leading to resurrection is the real path to flourishing.

This week we're exploring Philippians 3:7-11, where Paul shares life's greatest open secret: true fulfillment comes from pursuing Jesus above everything else. He regarded everything as rubbish compared to the surpassing value of knowing Christ. That's not weird—that's how we were always meant to live.

What are you counting as gain that might actually be keeping you from the joy of knowing Jesus?
