Unfiltered Frieze Survival Guide, RECORDED LIVE - on Monday evening, I sat down at Ned’s Club, a private members' club in London, with the brilliant Carrie Scott, art advisor and founder of SEEN, a next-generation art consultancy, for a live episode of All About Art in front of a wonderful audience (with champagne in hand! 🥂)
With Frieze London coming up, we wanted to talk about everything you might need to know before stepping into the madness. We unpack the current state of the art market and share practical advice on building a collection with intention, and we also talk about why collecting art is more important now than ever. We touch on some highlights Carrie is looking forward to, one of them being Cecilia Vicuña’s paintings at Lehmann Maupin’s booth (you heard it here first, folks!).
The conversation was candid and full of great recommendations, one of them being the Arthur Analytics App, which is currently free and can be used to look at what galleries are bringing to the fair. This isn’t an ad, it’s just a recommended tool Carrie mentioned in our conversation. I’ve downloaded it already, and so did many of our audience members!
It was so much fun to record live, so a huge thank you to Carrie, to everyone who came along, and, of course, to the team at Ned’s Club for hosting us.
