概要

Coming up on Here and Now, a classic choreopoem for girls of color is reimagined with music at Lincoln Center. This year marks the 50th anniversary of Ntozake Shange's powerful choreopoem, "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf." To mark this milestone, Lincoln Center's American Songbook series is presenting a re-imagined, musical treatment of the classic. It tells the stories of seven women who have suffered the indignities of a racist and sexist society. Joining us to discuss is composer, playwright and performer Natalie Brown.
