The Tampa Bay Lightning's four-game winning streak came to an end Tuesday night with a 4-1 loss to the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. On today's Daily Strike, Steve Versnick breaks down the loss, the similarities to Opening Night, and what the Bolts can learn as they return home for the next phase of the schedule.

The Rangers jumped out to an early lead behind two goals in the opening 13 minutes from Alex Lafrenière, forcing Tampa Bay to play from behind once again. Zemgus Girgensons scored his first goal of the season late in the first period to cut the deficit in half, but the Lightning couldn't find the equalizer as New York pulled away for the victory.

The episode also covers the latest roster news as the Lightning recalled goaltender Mads Søgaard from the Syracuse Crunch after backup netminder Dennis Hildeby was sidelined with a physical issue.
