概要
Have you ever looked around at this season of life and thought, "Okay God... now what?" Maybe the kids are grown. Maybe your career looks different than it used to. Maybe your body doesn't move the way it did, your role has shifted, or you're just not sure who you're supposed to be anymore now that so much has changed. If you've ever felt unseen, unsure, or like life after 50 was supposed to come with more clarity than it has — you're not alone, and you're in the right place. What this podcast is about: Life After 50 is a Christian podcast for women over 50 offering weekly conversations on faith, finding God's purpose, moving into this new season with honesty and in the direction, He has for you. Each episode digs into what it really looks like to trust and move with God — not the everything's-fine version of faith, but the honest, real, sometimes-messy kind. We talk about purpose in midlife, identity, waiting on God, trusting Him with what we can't understand, and finding God's direction when the road ahead isn't clear yet. Why it's for you: This isn't a podcast about pretending you have it all figured out. It's for the woman who's tired of performing "okay" and ready to bring her real questions, real doubts, and real heart to God. Whether you're an empty nester, navigating retirement, or simply asking "what's my purpose or what's the next step Lord" this show was made with you in mind. You're not behind. You're not forgotten. And you're definitely not the only one still asking these questions. How it will help you: Every episode gives you more than encouragement — it gives you practical, faith-based steps for women to actually walk away with. Real ways to bring honest feelings to God. Scripture for hard seasons and reminders of what you know to be true about Him, even when circumstances say otherwise. And tangible tools for trusting God through uncertainty and finding hope in midlife. This is a space to process, grow, and be reminded that this season — however uncertain it feels right now — still has purpose. So, if you're a woman ready to stop pretending, start trusting, and discover God's calling for this new season... pull up a seat. Let's walk through this together.© 2026 Victoria Throckmorton | Direction Coach I New Season I New Direction I Move Forward キリスト教 スピリチュアリティ 聖職・福音主義

  • Keep Walking: What Jericho Teaches Us About Waiting for the Wall to Fall
    2026/11/03

The wall didn’t fall on day one, and yours might not either. In this episode, we look at the story of Jericho and what it teaches us about staying faithful while we wait for breakthrough.

If you’ve been taking the next step, trusting the process, and still wondering why nothing has changed yet, this episode is for you. Before Jericho’s walls ever came down, God’s people had to walk around the city once a day for six days, with nothing visibly happening. We'll unpack three truths from that story: some walls don’t fall on day one, obedience isn’t wasted even when it looks repetitive, and breakthrough comes after faithfulness, not instead of it. This episode continues the series started in Episode 46 (living intentionally) and Episode 47 (seeing God’s faithfulness in your past). Grab a notebook and pen and join us.

  • Seeing God in Your Past: From Regret to Remembrance
    2026/10/20

The same past you’ve been calling a record of regret might actually be a record of God’s provision. In this episode, we'll share how to look back at your life, not to relive regret, but to recognize God’s hand and grace through every season, even the hard ones.

If you’ve ever wondered how to live intentionally when you’re still carrying mistakes, wasted years, or things you wish you’d done differently, this episode picks up right where last week’s left off. Rooted in Psalm 77:11-12, we'll walk through how the same memory can tell two different stories depending on the lens you use, how nothing is wasted in God’s hands, even your own choices, and how seeing God’s faithfulness in your past actually fuels the courage to move forward today. You’ll also hear the story of Joseph, who was honest about what was done to him, and still saw God’s hand working through it for good.

  • Living Intentionally in the Second Half of Life
    2026/10/10

Make the most of every opportunity: living intentionally in the second half of life. Ever looked at your life and thought, “Where did the time go?” In this episode, Victoria shares 3 ways to live intentionally in the second half of life and stop waiting for the “perfect time” to pursue what God has placed on your heart.

If you’re over 50 and realizing you don’t want to spend the next 10, 20, or 30 years going through the motions, this one’s for you. Rooted in Ephesians 5:15-17, stop waiting for certainty God never promised, get intentional about where you invest your time and energy, and refuse to disqualify yourself because of your age. You’ll also hear the story of Caleb, who at eighty-five asked God for the mountain, not a quiet retirement, plus a simple 3-question exercise to find your next step this week.
