After losing his 18-year-old son Kevin to alcohol poisoning on what should have been the beginning of his adult life, Barry made it his mission to educate others about the dangers of binge drinking and the devastating consequences that can come from just one night of bad choices.

In 2007, carrying Kevin’s ashes in his backpack, Barry began an extraordinary 1,400-mile walk from Arizona to Montana — sharing his son’s story in schools, churches, treatment centers, and communities along the way.

Today, Barry joins us to talk about that life-changing knock on the door, the journey that followed, and how he turned grief into purpose, hope, and a powerful mission to help others.
