このコンテンツについて
In this episode, we are so grateful to have Professor Blokker with us! Professor Niels Blokker is a docent of international institutional law at Leiden University’s Grotius Centre for international legal studies. He has been the deputy legal advisor to the Dutch foreign ministry, and he has several publications that are a testament to his expertise in the field. 👨🎓
This episode is special and not limited to the above-mentioned reasons, but as our fellow LLM students would agree; it is special because he is truly an ‘international organizations nerd’, one who has a poster of his favorite international organization at his office door, and multiple collected mugs carefully placed, each with the logo of an international organization. ☕️ He has inspired us all to believe in the ‘practice’ of international organizations and international law.
Tune into our conversation with him as he answers questions on his experience being a part of the historical Kampala Conference, the crime of aggression, politics & law, the gap and difference in teaching the law of international institutions as an academic, and the actual implementation of the law within the institutions!
