Anchored in Luke 10:38–42, Jessica and Alexa examine how these two sisters reflect different personalities, callings, and spiritual rhythms that many of us see in ourselves today.

Jessica identifies strongly with Mary—someone who prioritizes being with Jesus, hearing His Word, and pushing past distractions to stay close to Him. Alexa advocates for Martha, pointing out that she intentionally made room for Jesus in her home and lived out her calling through hospitality and service. Martha’s life reminds us that serving is not second-class spirituality—it’s worship.

The conversation digs deeper into how gifting can feel effortless to others but exhausting to the one carrying it, and how hospitality, service, and leadership can quietly turn into anxiety when limits aren’t honored.
