著者:
Dr. Abul Ahsan Chowdhury is one of Bangladesh's leading Lalon researchers and folklorists. He is a senior professor of Bangla at Islamic University, Kushtia, and for nearly half a century he has collected Bengal's lost history from village elders, old manuscripts and forgotten books. Sagar's Corner met him at his home in Kushtia.
In the conversation:
- growing up in a Kushtia home full of writers, activists, music and theatre
- the book that changed how he sees history: Niharranjan Ray's "Bangalir Itihas: Adiparva"
- how folk culture became his life's work
- Pyarisundari, the forgotten heroine of the Indigo Revolt
- why oral history matters where written records are silent
- Rajbala and the memory of Goswami Durgapur
- was the 19th-century "Bengal Renaissance" really for every Bengali?
- Fakir Lalon Sai, the teacher of rural Bengal
