The Lakers are making major strides this offseason, bolstering their front office with two high-caliber hires amid ongoing ownership changes. Eric Amsler joins as assistant GM focused on player personnel, while Keith D’Amelio — a 25-year veteran with deep roots in NBA, WNBA, college, and global sports — lands as Director of Integrated Performance Systems. D’Amelio’s resume includes transformative work at Nike and elite franchises like the Celtics and Raptors, plus advanced degrees in sports science. This move signals the Lakers’ serious commitment to upgrading their performance infrastructure and staying competitive.
