    Question: I’ve moved to "Small Town" Texas and opened up a studio. Other places I’ve lived, I have easily filled classes, but it’s been 2 years and I’m having trouble getting students. This question actually came from someone I met at TMEA, the Texas Music Educators Association Annual Conference. They stopped by my “Ask the Money Maestro” Booth, and I’m so glad they did! What I’m going to share with you will work for not just Texas but many southern, rural, or sparsely populated areas, especially communities that are deep in agriculture or are based in ag (such as his "Small Town") If they don’t know you, your momma, your grandma, and your great grandma, it’s gonna take a lot of work for them to buy from you. If you look different from the main populace of the town, it’s gonna take a lot of work for them to buy from you. If you look like the main populace of the town but don’t speak their primary language, it’s gonna take a lot of work for them to buy from you If you have a strong accent or ANYTHING else about you that signifies “different” and “outsider,” it’s gonna take a lot of work for them to buy from you. It’s gonna take a LOT of effort, but once you’re accepted by your new community, you will have loyal business for life.     Ok Y’all, every time I make a “Juneteenth Update” video, seems like it’s immediately out-of-date when new information comes in the next day.

    I had NO IDEA when we selected Fort Worth, a couple years ago, for the site of our 2025 session, that there would be so much history converging in this part of Texas at the same time as our conference

    I thought I would retire from the military in 2024 (funny how life derails the best laid plans) and so I picked the metropolitan area closest to my husband. Next year we’ll be in Tulsa and 2027 will be in Kansas City.

    Things keep changing - hopefully will settle soon. But rather than keep delaying getting info out, I'm publishing this so you get a general feel.

    There’s a new scam that’s going around where you receive a cheap (but pretty) adjustable ring in the mail along with some business cards and a QR code to scan to learn more about who sent it and why. Unfortunately, many who have scanned this QR code discovered it took them to a link that then installed malware on their computer. Others have reported that it gave the scammers automatic access to their banking information, although that’s probably not what happened unless they actually put their banking information into a webform on that page. What’s MORE likely and YOU want to be aware of, is that some sites can install monitoring software on your computer or phone that then monitors the next time you use your bank ap, scrapes the information from your login, and then sends THAT to the scammers.     Let's continue our discussion (If you missed Part 1, check out Episode 469) about how to operate in your fullest expression - how to flow in your ideas, health, finance. To fully understand the concept of "flow" it is important that we understand its opposite, "restriction" Some of us understand "restriction" all too well! Everywhere we turn it feels like we can't do this, can't do that, can't make this work, failed at that. If that feels like YOU tonight, you MUST attend tonight's class As spiritual beings, we naturally desire to move away from a restricted state of being. Unfortunately, the "learning model" of "playing it safe," keeps us bound in mediocrity rather than operating to our fullest expression. How many of us go to empowering conferences and say, "Yeah, I accept that abundance is for me." But do you really believe it? Do you really believe it for YOU? If you did, would you be playing so small? Would you be so fearful? Would you be afraid of stepping out? Of making that next big move? I wonder sometimes, perhaps we think we believe things, but then our actions tell a different story. Our attitudes tell a different story. But remember what Thomas Toward said, "When you're drawing from the infinite, you need never be afraid of taking more than your fair share." It's time for YOU to take your fair share!
