On October 13th, 2026, the professional golf landscape faces a seismic shift with LIV Golf's bankruptcy and Jon Rahm's exit, while the Korn Ferry Tour Championship delivers record-breaking triumphs and crushing heartbreak.

• The Saudi PIF has withdrawn from LIV Golf, forcing Chapter 11 bankruptcy. BC Partners offered a $300 million lifeline, with CEO Ted Goldthorpe feeling "very good" about signing players for Scott O'Neil's "complete not compete" rebrand.
• DP World Tour CEO Guy Kinnings issued a permanent ban ultimatum for LIV 2.0 signees, stating players "need to make a choice," while Jon Rahm's attorney called LIV's new terms "unacceptable."
• Rahm is officially exiting for the DP World Tour and a one-year PGA Tour suspension. Sergio Garcia and David Puig are also requesting releases, jeopardizing Ryder Cup spots for players like Tyrrell Hatton.

• The Federal Club hosted an emotional rollercoaster, highlighted by 19-year-old Blades Brown shooting a second-round 61 to earn his PGA Tour card, and Austin Hitt capturing a 20-under-par victory to honor his late father, Chip.
• "The golf ball does not care how old I am," said Brown, breaking Jason Day's record as the youngest to earn a card, while a tearful Hitt wished his dad "could be here."
• The joy of graduation was contrasted by Cole Hammer's brutal heartbreak; after bogeying the 17th and 18th holes on Sunday, he lamented that "bad ball striking caught up to me," missing his card by just two spots.
