Seattle’s Kraken prospects delivered a dominant seven-to-three victory over Vancouver, showcasing electric offense and standout performances from key rookies. Goaltender Nikke Kokko and defenseman Tyson Jugnauth, both All-Rookie honorees, anchored the defense while five different scorers and ten point-producers fueled the attack. Justin Janicke, a last-minute roster addition, stunned with two goals — including the game-winner — after stepping in for an injured teammate. Caden Price’s slick assist on Janicke’s first goal and his own goal-assist combo highlighted his return from injury. The second period was a scoring explosion, led by Andrei Loshko’s game-winner and David Goyette’s power-play tally, as Kokko stood tall despite heavy pressure. Coach Derek Laxdal praised the win but stressed room for growth ahead of training camp, with another matchup looming to sharpen skills. This showcase wasn’t just about wins — it was a glimpse into a bright future, as young talents proved their readiness and hunger for the spotlight.
