    On DAY 10.2, we will delve into Exodus 29–40, exploring the themes of glory, idolatry, intercession, and the dwelling of God.

    Exodus 15–28 laid the foundation for God’s plan, while Exodus 29–40 reveals the consequences of disobedience and the subsequent mercy of God.

    God provided instructions for His dwelling, but before the Tabernacle was completed, the people constructed a substitute god.

    Despite the interruption of idolatry, intercession intervened, restoring God’s presence.

    The question that arises is: Can a holy God coexist with a rebellious people?

    Exodus 29–40 answers this profound question with a resounding “Yes.” Through mediation, mercy, and obedience, God demonstrated His unwavering commitment to His people.

    Exodus 15–28: Formation After Freedom: Covenant and Holiness

    Deliverance is a dramatic event, while formation is a gradual process. Exodus 1–14 broke the chains of oppression, but Exodus 15–28 begins shaping the identity of the Israelites.

    Having crossed the sea, the Israelites still held Egypt in their thoughts. The central question that arose was: What does a redeemed people look like?

    Freedom without formation leads to bondage. Therefore, God begins to teach them how to live.

    The God Who Hears and Breaks Oppression

    OVERVIEW

    Genesis ends with a family preserved in Egypt.

    Exodus opens with a nation enslaved in Egypt.

    The shift is dramatic:

    From favor to oppression From preservation to persecution From promise to pressure

    But beneath the surface, covenant is still active.

    The central question of this section is:

    Will God remember His promise?

    Exodus answers clearly:

    He never forgot.
