  • #423: In Jesus’ Hands, It’s Enough (Feeding the 5,000) . Mark . Part . 22
    2026/08/26
Scripture: Mark 6:30–44; Psalm 23:1; John 10:11 Jesus and his disciples are searching for a quiet place to rest—but thousands of people follow them. When Jesus sees the crowd, he has deep compassion because they are like sheep without a shepherd. In this episode, children will hear how Jesus miraculously feeds more than five thousand people with only five loaves and two fish. They’ll discover that Jesus is the Good Shepherd who sees, cares for, and provides for his sheep. The disciples could not perform the miracle, but Jesus invited them to participate. They brought him what they had and trusted him to do what only he could do. • #422: When Looking Good Matters More Than Doing What’s Right -Mark . Part . 21
    2026/08/19
Mark 6:14–29 & Proverbs 16:18 PARENTS: Because children of many different ages and stages listen to this podcast, a few details in this account have been carefully adapted while remaining faithful to what Scripture teaches. In this episode, we do not include the graphic details of John’s death. In today’s episode, we hear what happened to John the Baptist after he courageously confronted King Herod about his sin. Herod knew John was a righteous and holy man—and he even liked listening to him. But when Herod had to choose between doing what was right and protecting his reputation, pride took over. Kids will learn that pride is more than bragging. Pride says, “I know best,” and places our desires above God’s Word. We’ll also discover why simply hearing God’s truth is not the same as believing, repenting, and obeying. What We’ll Learn John courageously spoke God’s truth—even when it was scary. Hearing God’s Word is not the same as obeying it. Pride can make us care more about looking good than doing what is right. Discuss what humility is not. ❤️ Shout outs- Support the show Love Kids Bible Stories? You can help us keep making it — and get a shoutout on a future episode! • # 421 : Why Twelve? - Mark · Part . 20
    2026/08/12
Mark 6:6–13 Jesus sent out the Twelve — two by two, with nothing but a walking stick and their sandals. Why twelve? And why send them out with nothing? In this episode, we go all the way back to Jacob and the twelve tribes of Israel to discover what Jesus was really doing — and we learn that the power to do His work is always a gift He gives, never something we pack, earn, or figure out on our own. In this episode: Why the number twelve points all the way back to Jacob and the twelve tribes of Israel How the first twelve tribes struggled to do their job — and how Jesus started fresh with a new twelve What it meant to travel with "nothing" — and who the disciples had to trust What it means to repent ❤️ Shout outs- Support the show Love Kids Bible Stories?
