The season of the witch is upon us! And we begin with a little history lesson on Samhain.

I pull card from The Halloween Tarot and The Oracle of the Forgotten Witches, and the results are blunt in the best way. The Ten of Bats lands like Ophelia in Hamlet, while the Kikimora shows how chaos creeps in through clutter, frayed nerves, and misaligned choices. With Venus retrograde in Scorpio and Mercury retrograde approaching also in Scorpio, I talk about why this is prime time for shadow work, relationship review, and restoring order without chasing perfection.

We can use the Libra new moon on 10/10 to frame a simple harmony ritual: clean your space, cleanse your energy, and invite peace back into your routines. All you need is a little time and a Temperance card.

From there, we go deep on Samhain history and Halloween origins. I share what Samhain means, why there’s no evidence of a Celtic god named Samhain, and how ideas like the need fire, cyclical time, and the thin veil shape modern witchcraft. We also zoom out to connected traditions like Pomona, All Souls, Day of the Dead, Fèt Gede, and Diwali, all circling ancestor connection and the turning of the year. If you’ve been craving a calmer Samhain reset, this one’s for you.
