Everyone needs someone like Sherry in their life. She's full of fun energy and warm fuzzies. I truly cannot imagine a better personality to lead a wellness business. Sherry is the owner of Bella Vita Wellness, which, as you will hear, is NOT a yoga studio!!! So stop calling it that….(if you have called it that, don't worry, we still love you.) You will love hearing this conversation and you'll be very informed about what Bella Vita actually is once you get to the end of the episode. You'll also be very (read: over-) informed about bodily functions during fitness classes…fair warning…but also, prepare to cackle along with us.

In this episode, Sherry mentioned a few different Kent businesses including North Water Brewing. Guess what! We have an episode about them! Check our library of episodes on the Main Street Kent website to listen to the stories behind those local businesses.

Listener Stories are being incorporated into this season! What does that mean? It means that YOU can share your awesome experience about a local business with us and we will read it on the podcast! To share a listener story with us, here's what we ask:

1. Type up your testimonial story in a Word document or Google document (or something like it).

2. Send the document to info@mainstreetkent.org

3. Let us know if we can use your name or not! (If you don't give us explicit permission, I will leave the story anonymous!)

Your story can be as long, formal, silly or grammatically incorrect, as you want it to be! I'm so excited to hear from you!

Welcome back to the pod! We are learning about Rainbow Weekend and the Portage County Pride Fund from Morgan Woodin today. Morgan sat down with me and explained the relationships between these two organizations as well as his specific role within them. He talked up the Rainbow Weekend 5k, which sounds like a lot of fun, as well as the important work that the PoCo Pride Fund does in our community. You'll also hear real human errors in this episode as I trip over my words a ton! I chose to leave the mistakes in there just for you to laugh with me about them.

Guys, I have a really handsome guest on the podcast today. I think I might ask him on a date! It's my hubby, Nathan! It was fun interviewing my own husband about his job! I thought I knew all the answers, but I did not! Nathan Thomas, joined by founder Paul Organ, told me all about the origins of Marathon Financial, and I loved to hear about how this sweet little business is growing. I'm not exactly a numbers person or someone who's passionate about personal finance particularly, but even this discussion was interesting for me. I hope you'll think so too!
