Are you enjoying the inheritance that is already yours as a child of God? In this message, anchored on Psalm 16:6, Elder (Dr.) Sam Alfa explains that a great inheritance is great because of the One who gives it, not because of its size. It is given by the owner, at his appointed time, to those who belong to him and meet his criteria.
He walks through the spiritual inheritance available to believers now and in eternity: salvation, being joint heirs with Christ, the Holy Spirit as our guarantee, victory, peace of mind, freedom from fear, deliverance, and eternal life. He also warns that an inheritance can be lost. You cannot belong to several "parents," go on "sabbatical" from God, or claim a place without the identity and character of the Father.
The key to accessing it is to keep your position: to keep rank, stand still, and remain steadfast, loyal, and obedient when God says "be still." He stresses that standing still is not being idle or passive. It means continuing to trust, pray, and hold on to your faith. Drawing on Daniel, Hannah, Anna the prophetess, Job, the prodigal son, Esau, and Samson, he shows why faithfulness must be a consistent habit and not an emergency, and why discipleship, not mere conversion, is what sustains it.
