    Mavreen Hering has been the head softball coach at Division III Stockton University since 2015. On her watch, the Ospreys have been one of the top teams in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, winning nearly 60% of their games. This year, just days after recording this interview, Hering led Stockton to the program's first-ever NJAC regular season championship. Hering also enjoyed a very successful run as the head coach at Camden Catholic High School and was a standout player in college at another NJAC school, Rowan. His non-profit work comes after a football career that saw him star at Simon Gratz High School and Division II West Chester University. Upon graduation from West Chester, Rouse, a defensive back, went on to spent time with the Green Bay Packers, the BC Lions of the CFL and the DC Defenders of the UFL. He reached these football heights after overcoming getting shot in the head in a random shooting in North Philadelphia back in 2016. She was a star field hockey player at the University of Virginia and played extensively for the US National Team including in the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics.
