When Nick Gatzke enrolled at Moody Bible Institute, he was planning to spend his life on the mission field. God had other plans, and they took him from Chicago to Cape Cod to London before they finally brought him home to Old North.
In this episode, Pastor Bruce Chimani sits down with Pastor Nick, Old North’s Senior Pastor, to talk about the man behind the pulpit. Nick talks about growing up, meeting Amy, and the years at Osterville Baptist that shaped him as a young pastor. He opens up about what goes into a sermon before Sunday ever arrives, and what it’s like to be the first among equals as elder and senior pastor.
If you’ve ever been fed by Nick’s preaching, prayed with him up front, or simply wondered how he ended up in Canfield, this is a chance to sit with your pastor and get to know him a little better.
Know Thy Shepherd is a series of conversations with the pastors of Old North Church in Canfield, Ohio.
