Kathleen Willard joins co-host Christine Hogg in the studio to talk about her new book, A World On Fire: Poems of Women's Desire, the power of the poetry community, and the importance of connection and speaking directly with kindness. Kathleen reads selected works, shares experiences about building relationships locally and abroad, and describes the role of poetry and artists from her perspective.

Black Market Translation packed into the KRFC podcast studio with all their musical instruments for an in-studio showing of Punketry. Matt Clifford on bass, Chris Eason on guitar, Dipper on Drums, and Sarah Rodriguez as emcee and poet all brought their improvised musical creativity to Fort Collins. Booger interviews a new poet to the area who has swept up accolades and won the local poetry slam. Ben Irwin tells us about his background, his family and shares his rich brand of playful, and political works. Ben and Booger discuss the competitive nature of slam poetry and the rewards of winning amongst the local poetry community in Fort Collins.

"Free Skool" is an opportunity for education and resources to be available for the broader community at no cost. Beyond Academia Free Skool in Boulder, CO, focuses on poetry and literary knowledge and skill building, and branches out to many other aspects of community living, such as bird-watching and clothing swaps. Co-directors of BAFS, Cicada and Maggie, talk about the 12th year of Summer Poetry Camp, and the events they're hosting up-and-down the Front Range -- from Boulder, to Fort Collins, to Denver.

"Half Of Her" is what remains of a poet who found a way to speak of the domestic violence that kept her a prisoner in her own home, until the day she freed herself. She now creates poetry that celebrates breaking the cycle of abuse and bringing shelter for those in similar situations. She creates recordings of her work and competes locally as a slam poet in Fort Collins.

Poet and hiphop producer, Chris Lorensson (aka Hygiene) joins co-host Christine Hogg in the studio to talk about his background, connections between poetry and hiphop, and his recent works.
