Sometimes your life changes faster than your mind can understand it.

You do the thing. Cross the line. Grow stronger. On paper, the character sheet has already been updated.

But inside?

You still feel the same. Maybe even empty.

Perhaps becoming someone new and realizing you've become someone new are two different things.

The old version doesn't quite fit anymore.

The new one hasn't settled in yet.

Maybe nothing needs fixing.

Maybe it just needs time.

Not yet.

Sometimes the hardest part of the journey isn't surviving the dark forest.

It's leaving it.

We become very good at being the person we needed to be. Strong. Restless. Hungry. Always moving. Always fighting. Always preparing for the next battle.

And then one day, the landscape changes.

But we don't.

We keep carrying old truths into a life that no longer requires them. We mistake familiar armor for identity. We keep fighting because we have forgotten who we are when there is nothing left to fight.

Maybe the next chapter doesn't require another war.

Maybe it requires something harder.

Trusting the person the war already made.

The forest is behind us.

Brothers, it's time.

THE REAL PROBLEM

Maybe there are no bad days. Maybe there are bad moments we give too much authority.

In this episode I start with three hours of sleep, a cold, and absolutely no desire to record. From there, I dig into the labels we put on ourselves: bad days, stress, winter depression, shitty jobs, broken relationships.

Sometimes the label explains the problem.

Sometimes it becomes the software running it.

And sometimes the thing we call "the problem" is only the top layer of something much deeper.

Because blaming the weather, the job or the people around you is relatively painless.

Digging deep enough to discover that you might have to rebuild your fucking life?

That's different.

Accept the data. Be careful about accepting the story.
