Welcome back to Just One Hit. Today's one hit wonder is one for spooky season and that's Bobby Pickett's single, The Monster Mash. Released in 1962, the song peaked at #1 during the Halloween season and has maintained its popularity during the holiday ever since. But how did Bobby go from doing a Boris Karloff impression in a band while trying to be an actor to getting millions in royalties from a novelty song based on the Mashed Potato?
