__________
For this episode of Stories from the Guild, we reflect on Our Lady under two of her most consoling titles — Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Refuge of Sinners — and on the brown scapular she gave to St. Simon Stock as a sign that she remains beside us even to the hour of death. We meet the Holy Youth of the Month, Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, a young convert who rooted her life in prayer and gave herself entirely to God despite ridicule and hardship. Through Scripture and the words of the Sub Tuum Praesidium, Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, Saint Alphonsus Liguori, and Pope Leo XIII, we consider what it truly means to take refuge in Mary. Three letters from young listeners round out the episode, with questions on the Second Coming, the names of the angels, and why Saints Peter and Paul share a feast day.
Through thoughtful questions and shared reflection, this episode invites youth into deeper engagement with their faith—both personally and as part of a growing community.
Listeners are invited to subscribe and receive updates by enrolling in the Youth Guild.
