What happens when you bring a legendary comedian, a filmmaker, and Robert Bannon together for a conversation about a wedding gone horribly wrong? ABSOLUTE CHAOS! Comedy icon Jon Lovitz and writer-director Tom W. Meyers join The Roundtable with Robert Bannon for a wildly entertaining conversation about their new comedy, THE TOAST, making its world premiere at the 2026 Austin Film Festival! And trust us, this conversation might be just as unpredictable as the movie itself! In THE TOAST, Lovitz plays the father of the bride, whose drunken determination to deliver a wedding toast sends an entire wedding party into panic mode. As friends and family desperately attempt to prevent him from taking the microphone, what should be a beautiful celebration threatens to become an unforgettable disaster. Sounds like the perfect role for Jon Lovitz, doesn't it? A beloved Saturday Night Live veteran, Lovitz has spent decades making audiences laugh with his unmistakable voice, outrageous characters, and unforgettable comedic timing. From The Critic and A League of Their Own to The Wedding Singer, Rat Race, and countless memorable television appearances, Lovitz remains one of comedy's most recognizable personalities. Joining him is writer-director Tom W. Meyers, the creative force behind THE TOAST, who brings this wonderfully disastrous wedding comedy to life. Together, they join Robert for a conversation about the film, comedy, creativity, and the wonderfully ridiculous situations that make us laugh. And somewhere along the way, things get a little out of hand! It's funny. It's unpredictable. It's a little ridiculous. And it's exactly why we love The Roundtable! Whether you've followed Jon Lovitz since his legendary SNL days or you're discovering the madness of THE TOAST, this is one conversation you won't want to miss.
