  • 130. I'm In The Top 1% of Reading - How Do I Do It?
    2025/09/29

Many people rarely read a book a year. Let alone 50+. Over the last four years, I've read 514 books. This averages roughly 128 books per year. As I transition to year 5, I'm focusing more on the tips mentioned in this episode to ensure I stay consistent. For me, it's not how many books you read, but being consistent. If you read daily, you'll read several books per year. I've read for 1,732 consecutive days and counting, so this allows me to read a lot.

  • 129. "Visual MBA" by Jason Barron Book Review
    2025/09/22

Quick synopsis books don't replace a MBA or a Master's of Business Administration, but they do provide a ton of concepts to learn more about. I don't want to go back to school or pay thousands of dollars, so this book has helped provide a quick overview of this degree. I'll be looking for other books that delve deeper into these concepts, and I'll cover this topic in a future episode. One of the concepts I'm exploring in more depth this year is leadership, and I'll provide more great leadership books in future episodes. I reviewed "How To Suck As A Leader" by Travis Dalrymple, which is a great book as well.

  • 128: "Go One More" by Nick Bare - How Do We Get Deeper In The Pain Cave?
    2025/09/15

In this episode, I review "Go One More" by Nick Bare, the founder and CEO of Bare Performance Nutrition. I also discuss two concepts heavily explored in the book that I've been working on this year: how to ask for help and how to overcome the pain cave, if possible.

  • 127. How To Suck As A Leader by Travis Dalrymple Book Review
    2025/09/08

Travis has worked with companies to rework their leadership, and he found that the best way to provide leadership tips is to highlight the ways bad leaders lead. He formed 15 ways leaders do that make them suck, so he made a book called "How To Suck As A Leader". This is a fun, quick read on leadership, and one of my favorite books I've read this year.

I don't go in-depth into the 15 ways, but I do focus on one health and my experience working on that. How can I show that to my team? One of the ways I've found is to run to work and do crazy challenges like sign up for a 100-mile race in May of 2026.

    Where to get the book:

  • 126: Alex Hormozi's $100M Models Book Launch
    2025/09/01

Alex Hormozi's, owner of Aquisition, had one of the largest book launch events in history! He showed millions of people the action of what he's teaching with his new book on how to model a product and have it generate $100 million in sales. He didn't have a pre-order sale before this event, which would have boosted his sales. But Alex spent millions on marketing to get people to this event, and it worked. Btw, if he didn't self-publish the book, a good chunk of marketing would be covered by the publisher. This wasn't the case. On the first day, he sold roughly 2.7 million copies, and then the next day, he got to 3 million copies sold! That's insane!

  • 125. Why have I been incognito? - I'm Back
    2025/05/12

Why have I been incognito? In 2025, I made a lofty goal to run a 32 miler every month, so 12. Last year, I ran my first ultramarathon (anything above 26.2 miles), and I decided for that first one to run a 32 miler before work. This year, I'm turning up the notch. I've already ran five 32 milers so far - the highest being 60 miles. These 32 milers have taken a good chunk of my time with training (upwards to three hours on some days) and going to the races or doing a 32 miler around my house.
