 Jiraiya is a character in the popular manga and anime series, Naruto. He is one of the legendary Sannin of the Hidden Leaf Village, along with Orochimaru and Tsunade. Jiraiya is a skilled ninja, renowned for his knowledge of sealing techniques, his expertise in battle, and his famous novel series, the Tale of the Gallant Jiraiya. Jiraiya's life is one of great tragedy and sacrifice. As a young ninja, he trained under the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, alongside his fellow students Orochimaru and Tsunade. Jiraiya was known for his love of women and his carefree personality, which often belied his true intelligence and cunning. As a member of the Sannin, Jiraiya was one of the most powerful ninja in the world. He fought in the Third Shinobi World War, where he developed a reputation as a formidable warrior. Jiraiya later became the mentor of Naruto Uzumaki, the protagonist of the series, and taught him many important lessons, including how to summon and control toads.
