Larry and Jim kick off a multi episode series on The Chosen, one episode per season, with one goal: getting to know Jesus a little better.
Season 1 keeps putting people in the same spot, fully known and terrified of it. Mary Magdalene, hiding under another name. Nicodemus, a respected teacher sneaking out at night with questions he can’t ask in daylight. And a Samaritan woman who runs back to town telling everyone a man knew everything she’d ever done.....imagine having an encounter with someone that knew all of your warts!
We also sort out what comes straight from the Gospels and what the show imagined to help tell the stories.
This week, read John 3 and John 4, and notice what the show added and what it didn’t need to.
You can find The Chosen Season 1 on Prime Video
