Jesus Sanchez is officially on the Diamondbacks roster, picked up off waivers from Toronto just a day before, and he’s hitting seventh as the designated hitter right out of the gate. With the team chasing a wild-card spot, Sanchez brings急需 offense—especially against righties, where he boasts a .775 career OPS. He’s pumped to join the push and even gets a little extra fire from facing his former team, the Marlins. To make room, outfielder Tommy Troy heads down to Triple-A Reno. The D-backs open their series against Miami with Michael Soroka facing Janson Junk.
