When Jesus cried “It is finished,” He wasn't simply saying His life was over. He was declaring that the work He came to accomplish had been completed.
In Part 2 of our study of the crucifixion, we walk through John 19:28-42 and unpack the meaning of Jesus' final words, the Passover imagery surrounding His death, the blood and water from His pierced side, and the remarkable Old Testament prophecies fulfilled at the cross.
We also follow Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus as they bury Jesus and ask an important question before we reach the resurrection: Did Jesus really die?
📖 Scripture: John 19:28-42 (ESV)
