Welcome to Living Vine Chronicles,

I invite you to join me as we explore God's name, Jehovah Makkeh, the Lord who smites. I don't blame you if you are tempted to skip this one. Who wants to sign up for some smiting? On the other hand, how many of us have feared that God is angry with us and is just waiting to see if we get it wrong? I hope this message challenges those beliefs.

What current "striking" or painful pruning in my life might actually be God’s loving correction?

How do I typically react when I face painful consequences for my own poor choices?

Am I actively ignoring any gentle warnings from God, forcing Him to use heavier discipline to get my attention?
