Today on Turf Today, we're celebrating Thank a Golf Course Superintendent Day with a conversation featuring James Symons, Director of Agronomy at Anthem Country Club in Las Vegas.
James takes us through his journey from Mississauga, Ontario, to managing turf in the middle of the Las Vegas desert. We talk about the challenges of water conservation, surviving extreme summer conditions, and the massive renovation work he's been a part of at Anthem.
We also get into the reality of growing grass in the desert, the lessons James has learned throughout his career, and what keeps him pushing to be better.
Plus, Brian shares a little bit about his recent trip with his son.
