When the SUV rolled across two lanes of highway, her ten-year-old daughter Carrie and eight-year-old son David were thrown from the car. The last words Carrie spoke to her mother were "I love you, Mom. Happy Mother's Day." Both children died. Julie survived. And in the days and months that followed, so did something she never expected: a grace so profound it defied every category she had for it.In the immediate aftermath, while still on the roadside, Julie had a quiet encounter with what she describes as a profound divine presence.
