Psalm 46:1-3

1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.

Faith, Focus, and the Pursuit of Olympic Gold

In this inspiring episode, Pastor Joseph interviews Olympic medalist Nia Abdalla about balancing her walk of faith with the pursuit of Olympic gold. Nia shares her perspective on the discipline, perseverance, and dedication required to compete at the highest level while keeping Jesus Christ at the centre of her life. Together, they explore the challenges of remaining faithful to God amid the pressures of elite competition, trusting in His plan through victories and setbacks, and using God-given talents to honour Him. This is a powerful conversation about pursuing excellence without compromising your faith, putting God first in every endeavour, and remembering that while the world measures success through medals and achievements, our greatest calling is to glorify God and faithfully walk with Jesus Christ.

Mark 10:13-16

13 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.
