  • "Do I Know You?" - Facial Recognition Technology Pioneer - Shaun Moore, CEO and Co-founder of Trueface
    2021/05/11

Think back to 2017 for a moment... Were you among the millions of highly impressed consumers awed by Apple's iPhone X featuring Face ID? This week on It's Under Control Jake Allen is joined by Shaun Moore, CEO, and co-founder of Trueface.   In 2017, Shaun probably just smiled because by then he and his team had already proven the technology's use for over 4 years.  He's no newcomer to this rapidly growing segment of the security industry.  In fact, these days Trueface supports a growing list of both government and commercial clients as the use of face ID technology rapidly gains appeal.  Think the pandemic hurt all businesses?  Think again.  Astoundingly, Trueface has benefited from the pandemic as companies increasingly move away from access control badges, fobs, chips, other device scanning technologies, and the worst of the COVID age, fingerprint scanners. However, as with any new technology, there are legal, moral, and ethical issues to consider, particularly around data protection.  Hear how Shaun and his team have developed policies, processes, and procedures to guide them as they ramp up to meet the growing demand for their products and services.  You can now listen to It's Under Control on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pandora, and Google Podcasts!  If you have any feedback or suggestions for guests or topics send us an email at control@rileyrisk.com.
