Republicans are heading into the 2026 midterms screaming about Democrats killing Christmas and warning that every candidate they don’t like is apparently one election away from launching the Caliphate, but there’s one tiny problem: voters are worried about jobs, inflation, debt and whether they can afford groceries. In this episode of The Jeff Dornik Show, I break down why I believe the GOP is about to get absolutely wrecked, potentially losing one or both chambers of Congress, after alienating the very America First and MAHA voters who helped deliver victory in 2024. Republicans promised to be the lesser of two evils, yet we’ve gotten another Middle East war, more foreign workers competing for American jobs, exploding debt, rising costs and a full-speed sprint toward AI dominance that threatens to make the communist utopia technologically possible. Democrats are certainly not the good guys, but they understand something Republicans apparently forgot: elections are won by speaking to the pain people actually feel. And if Democrats take Congress, maybe the real question isn’t whether America survives two years of gridlock. Maybe it’s whether gridlock is exactly what protects us from both parties until the real battle for 2028 begins.
