On April 27, 1961 Sierra Leone became independent. Sonia is Joined by Koehun, a young Sierra Leonean historian who enjoys reimagining the future, and Junior, another young Sierra Leone who is also a history enthusiast. Together, they discuss pre colonial history in Sierra Leone, ethnic tensions in Sierra Leone, and what led to independence.
